SIGTUNA MARKET

Today I woke up at a decent hour finally. I had breakfast with Maria, Mikaela slept in Alice's house and Mikael was working out. After breakfast, Maria started to clean the house and I said that I could help her and she said to me that she prefers to do it alone so everything is as she wants. I spent the morning working a lot. I did some homework, write the blog, answer e-mails and also organized my room.

We were supposed to left the house for Sigtuna at 13:00 but we were having lunch at that time. Maria borrowed me a winter coat that was like heaven. Then I talked with Marina so she could come with us. We picked her up at Täby Centrum. The way was long to Sigtuna but the village was BEAUTIFUL.

It was freezing there. We took lots of photos and then we started to walk around the market, it was lovely I tried a typical drink of Christmas here called: Glogg, it's like wine but hot and with walnuts on it. I didn't like it but at least I tried it. We saw skins of animals, different kind of salami and meat from reindeer that I tried later at home, Italian cheese, lots but LOTS of Christmas decorations that were handmade. Marina and I shared a bag of caramelized walnuts that tasted soooo good and were soo hot that I think those were the best 40 SEK that I spent in while.

We kept walking for a while and then went to have something hot to drink. It was a really small bar, I mean it when I say SMALL, even I had to lower my head. I had a warm chocolate and a piece of lussebullar, it's a bun of saffron. 

After the fika, we went back home because it was closing. Mikaela, Marina and I slept the way back. Then we left Mikael and Mikaela at home and went to Marina's house to drop her there. Maria and I talked and shred some music in the car. At home, they went to their rooms so I did the same. 

Mikael started to prepare the dinner and while he was doing that I interviewed him for the Erasmus project. He gave me some meat and after I ate it he told me it was reindeer meat and I suddenly felt really bad for the animal, it remembered me of the ones of Santa and I was really disappointed with myself for 10 min.

Matilda came and we all had dinner together then I had a shower and went to bed. 

Today's song will be one that I heard in the car with Maria.

SWEDISH GIANTS

Hi readers! To be quick, the morning has been the same for three days so let's go directly to the way to my first and only lesson, Mikael took me to Tibble and we had our second Swedish Express class, I learnt some parts of the body in Swedish and also how to say: ''I have a headache'','' my face is frozen'', being productive every single time.  We had P.E but only Marina, Sabela and me because Victor missed the bus and couldn't make it. We had basketball and I had so much fun. I really enjoy P.E classes and dancing here. I met a very nice girl who is red-haired and we had to be in an activity together. Fernando is a great teacher, he explains everything to us in English and also tries to make the Swedish students be friendly with us. ORIENTEERING

Hi readers! Another day here. Today I had to wake up early because I had to be at Tibble at 8:30 again to go to orienteering, which is basically run in the forest looking for points. Well at breakfast I thought I would be alone but I was wrong because today I had Mikael's company and day by day I'm understanding him better so my English is improving.  I prepared everything and took the bus. When we were all together at Tibble we took another bus to go to the forest next to the lake I went on Sunday (First day). So we waited there for our maps. It appeared that Swedish students had to do it for P.E. class and we didn't so we got lost very fast just in the beginning. When one said to the left other said to the right and at one point I decided not to participate in the arguments and just follow who I wanted. But it was really fun although we ended up running to get the bus and I felt really tired by the end. When we arrived at T.G again we said goodbye to our Engl

BEGINNING OF SOMETHING

Hi, I'm Lucy. If you are reading this please be welcome to my diary blog, I'm writing here with the purpose of sharing my experience in Sweden with you. I have been selected to spend 2 months in Täby, Sweden for an Erasmus+. And if you don't know what an Erasmus+ is, well I was about to explain it to you. Erasmus + was created with the intention of making bonds between different cultures. So If you understand someone's culture and way of living, you will also understand their behavior and you two wouldn't be in a conflict. So some people thought that the best way to get to know new cultures is traveling, and they created the Erasmus programme.
