SKANSEN

Hi readers!
Sunday. I woke up at 8:30, I know I'm masochistic. Well, I did that because I needed to wash my clothes, clean my bedroom and get ready for a meeting at 11:15 so I thought I wanted to do it all with enough time. So I prepared my breakfast and had it all alone because Mikaela was in a test, and Maria and Mikael went for a walking around the lake.

While there were out I took advantage to clean the kitchen a little bit and also my room and clothes, then I dressed up and waited until it was time to leave, fortunately, Maria drove to the place because she knows the way.

The meeting was for a job I wanted to apply as a babysitter of two children. The parents want that they learn a little bit of Spanish because their grandfathers are from Canaria Island. When I arrived I was very nervous but they were very good to me and they offered me some coffee and something to eat. I met the father first and he spoke to me in English as the mom did later. They both asked about my experience with children and I told them about the bands with children I go, they seemed very happy with my answers and they asked for a trial on Tuesday at 16:00 to play with their sons. It didn't last very long so I left the place to try to go to a zoo on the other side of the city.

I had to take a 33 min bus from where was the meeting, then the subway for 10 more minutes and finally a trolley car that I missed in front of my face. I took a ferry finally and it was really cool but I had to pay for it because I was so worried about getting there that I didn't realize If I could use my transport card there. But although it might seem a lot for a new person in a foreign country I managed the situation quite well, I wasn't ashamed of asking people how could I get to some places or where do I take the subway left or right. I'm very proud of the many things I did for myself today; had an interview for a job, put two washing machines without ruining my clothes (also thanks to my parents by the phone for helping me), cleaning the kitchen, and took three different types of transports in Swedish to get to a zoo.

Once I was at the zoo I got a stamp to be able to leave the zoo and enter whenever I wanted and went out with Victor to have lunch because after so many traveling I was starving. After lunch, we saw the zoo and lots of different types of animals that I took photos of, nature and an incredible view of the city. We walked a lot so we left the zoo early.

When we were out we looked for a way to return home and Victor wanted to take a ferry but I thought that would make the way back much longer and guess what? It was way too long for my tiredness.  We saw google maps and took a wrong way and climbed slopes after seeing all the zoo and I was about to kill Victor when we found a direct tube to the train home, thank GOD!

I slept for a while on the train and then took the bus home. At home, there wasn't anyone except Mikaela because they had left for a birthday party that I wanted to attend but it wasn't possible because I was far away when they left for the party. So I chilled for a couple of hours and then started to write this entry when they arrived and we had dinner without Mikaela that was mad because she couldn't go to the party either.

Now I'm going to prepare everything for my first Italian class tomorrow I'll tell you how it goes.

Song of the day:

Thanks for reading!
